Doing a family tour of Scotland with 10 (& 1/2) members, we were looking for an authentic Scottish experience when we found Craigston Castle. Craigston was immensely impressionable for all of us, from the warm greeting at the door to the sharing of the Urquhart family history, we felt at home immediately after opening the car door to enter through the grand foyer. Our host was far more attentive than what we are used to on our stays & should merit a separate very lengthy review ,5 stars of course. So much to do on the grounds, & i wish we had more time to completely canvas the whole estate. I feel we all got a good idea of the daily life of the earlier Scotsmen (aside from the updated plumbing). We were all amazed at simply having dinner in the same rooms as the early Urquharts & associates . I can’t really explain in this short review what we all received from this short stay, but i guarantee none of us will ever forget it. Experience of a lifetime. Thank you for having us.
