We just finished a 4 night stay at Craigston Castle near Turriff in Scotland and couldn’t have had a better time … Amazing estate, winding staircases, secret rooms, ghost stories, grand rooms, turrets, everything you could imagine when staying in a castle. Adding to the magic of the castle is the graciousness of the owner, host and Laird, William. He could not have been more welcoming, humble or informative. He showed us the secret passageways, secret library and wine cellar and told us all of the castle stories/secrets. Anyone who has ever thought “it would be cool to stay in a castle” should look no further than Craigston Castle. A magical time that we will hopefully be able to do again some day in the future.
