From the start, host Elisabetta made everything super easy by immediately responding to all my inquiries, graciously accommodating our changing schedules, and sending detailed check in instructions prior to our visit. We had a long travel day, and it was such a treat to be personally greeted by Elisabetta who provided the grand tour of the castle. The castle exceeded every expectation. It is exquisitely furnished with original art, linens, sofas, canopy beds. No one left the castle for days because it was so much fun to explore the maze of sitting rooms, dining areas, parlors, connected by gorgeous stone stairwells. The grounds have beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, from which you are allowed to pick during the stay. Do try the carrots! Elisabetta was invaluable for helping us arrange amazing activities on the castle grounds. And an extra thank you, Elisabetta, for making us feel like lairds and ladies of Craigston Castle!
