The Urquhart family mourn the loss of Bobs Urquhart, the family matriarch who lived at Craigston from 1939-1995 and was William’s beloved grandmother. She died last Tuesday aged 98.

Known fondly by family and close friends as ‘Mumbo’ she lived independently in Ibiza until recently, where she and and her late husband Bruce Urquhart had spent many happy years. Bruce and Bobs were commended for opening Craigston’s doors to help and support the community during the war and they did so much to preserve Craigston in those difficult post war years. Bobs recently self-published a book, ‘Jigsaw’ about her life, of which Craigston was such a large part.

She was mother to Holly, Sara, Alexander and Georgia, a grandmother and great grandmother – a remarkable woman who is missed by family and many dear friends.
