Craigston Castle Reviews
North Lodge Reviews
Lovely furnishings, excellent location and the owners were wonderfully accommodating.
We had a fantastic stay at the Craigston Castle in Scotland to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. Elisabetta is a fantastic hostess and the sixteenth century castle is resplendent with art, history, gorgeous architecture and woods. The hostess also help organize an on site whiskey tasting which was fabulous. The kids and adults has a wonderful time exploring the castle and grounds and visiting the many historic and scenic parts of Scotland and culture! Highly highly recommend this!
Warm-hearted hospitality in an authentic and idyllic location. From the moment you enter the Castle you are transported back in time and greated by the lovely Elisabetta who made us feel like castle owners for a weekend. We rented Cragiston Castle for a group of 10 friends that wanted to experience the Scottish atmosphere and traditional activities but got much more than we bargained for. The lovely surroundings of the castle are perfect for jogging and exploration and the local pub is full of stories. Here you will find something for everyone and it is the perfect getaway. We are truly indebted to William for opening up this house for others, Elisabettas hospitality and of course to the chef, Nelson, who made our stay most welcome and we certainly look forward to returning again in the not too distant future.
We had the most fabulous tour around the castle. The history of the place, told to us by Elisabetta, is just so interesting. Amazing day there and would do it all again!
I couldn't recommend Craigston Castle enough this amazing place with amazing staff, Betta is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, so helpful, always smiling I feel like I've known her forever, our wedding on the 18th May was amazing like a true fairytale means a lot to us to get married in such a beautiful local place. Thank you again.
Marvelous Castle with kind and welcoming hosts. We're able to visit that spectacular place and get to know more about history of the place. Definitely worth visiting by every traveller.
Craigston is a old Castle/Home in Scotland. Visitor numbers seem quite low which makes the tour a lot more interesting as you have more time to visit and ask questions. The host is very knowledgeable. The Castle is mostly fully open with some parts not safe to enter. You can rent the Castle to spend a week in it if you like. The history is quite interesting and the quite charming. The surrounding grounds are worth a walk. The site can be a bit difficult to find but you need to follow the signs. Well worth going out of your way.
This beautiful 1604 castle has so much to see. Well worth the visit
Brilliant grounds for Rodney the dog...very relaxing
